(until 12 years)
After qualification (preselection), the TOP16 dancers compete against each other in a Knock-Out-System.
1vs1 B-Girl Juniors
(13 till 17 years)
After qualification (preselection), the TOP8 B-Girls compete against each other in a Knock-Out-System.
1vs1 B-Boy Juniors
(13 till 17 years)
After qualification (preselection), the TOP16 B-Boys compete against each other in a Knock-Out-System.
NATIONAL BATTLES
DTV Ranking Battles
B-Girls & B-Boys (born 2008)
Participants need German citizenship OR an application for German citizenship (must be checked in advance by the DTV office; participation is not possible without approval). Membership in a DTV association (valid ID card) and an associated annual license are also mandatory. To take part in the DTV Ranking Battle, you must be born in 2008 or older. Registration takes place exclusively via www.and8.dance.
1vs1 B-Girl

After qualification (preselection), the TOP16 B-Girls compete against each other in a Knock-Out-System.
1vs1 B-Boy
(Jahrgang 2008)
After qualification (preselection), the TOP32 B-Boys compete against each other in a Knock-Out-System.
The 'DTV Ranking Battles' of the German Dance Sport Association (DTV) are ranking competitions for qualification into the 'German Breaking National Team' as well as for international posting as a representative for Germany at European and World Championships, the Urban Games, European Games, World Games or for participation in the Olympic Games or Youth Games.
Participation fees
The following applies to participation in the 'Castle Rock Jam':
For the 1st category = EUR 10.00 entry fee in CASH (per person)
For another category = EUR 5.00 entry fee in CASH (per person)
Important additional information:
The entry fee already includes access to the main event (see program), i.e. all participants receive free access and places on the dance floor. The entry fees are to be paid in CASH on site. All participants also receive a certificate with the final placement.
How is the event going down?
(1) Registration
You can register online at any time until the registration deadline on November 11, 2023 via www.and8.dance.
(2) Check-In
On the day of the competition you come directly to the check-in, confirm your presence and pay the participation fee.
(3) Preselection
In the qualification (preselection) you show what you got and impress the international board of judges with your skills.
(4) Knock-Out
In the KO-System, you show your qualities round after round, delight both the audience and the judges and secure your spot in the final.
(5) Final rounds
All finals of the Kids & Juniors as well as the TOP16 of the DTV Ranking Battles take place in front of a large audience and invited guests.
(6) Interviews
After your strong performance in the final rounds, we look forward to a short interview with you and our TV team.

You can also take part in several categories?
Naturally! If this is not limited by the age restriction, then yes. All qualifications for the individual competition categories are planned in such a way that participation in several categories is possible at any time. Our team monitors the registrations and draws on many years of experience.
Wie kann ich am DTV Ranking Battle teilnehmen?
In order to take part in the 'DTV Ranking Battle' you need German citizenship or an ongoing application for German citizenship - this must be checked and approved in advance by the DTV office, otherwise participation is not possible. You must also be born in 2008 or older, have a membership in a DTV club and the associated ID card as well as a valid annual license.
